Oftentimes, web developers and designers think that most internet site surfers prefer access to the utmost content on a single page of an internet site. This is virtually untrue, for most internet viewers would choose simplicity over complexity. Thus, making a single page on your internet site, a task made complicated due to functions and features that are all bundled, would generally reduce the traffic on your internet site. This is because digital information technology is developing in such a direction towards simplicity. Like what Albert Einstein said, simplify all things to its simplest form, but definitely don't overdo it and go simpler.
So, I think you should follow these simple tips in making your internet site equally simple as well. First, try to carefully study the contents each page of your internet site has. Take note of all the functions, features, textual content, and every other content which you find as rather impressive for both you and your colleagues. Then, all you need to do is either modify such functions, features, and contents to its simplest form. Or, better yet, remove them from the pages of your internet site. You see, the trick here is to functionally design any page of any internet site with both adults and kid viewer population in mind. Thus, if you design an internet site to be understandable to adults and kids alike, make sure it is also understandable to people of all races, religions, and social status.

With fast internet connections, digital entertainment has also evolved with information and communications technology. Now, enjoy online Flash games, role playing online games, streaming video, online literature, and streaming audio, among other entertainment stuff on the internet. With mobile phones and other handheld gizmos becoming more powerful and functional, people go around entertaining themselves either wireless, mobile, or both. But, conventional internet navigation and browsing still remains as the choice of most website viewers.
Thus, if by any chance you are a web publisher, you may want to design the pages of your website to have integrated entertainment aside from being accessible and usable. With this, I suggest you provide your website's viewers radio entertainment. Yes, and it wouldn't cost you much. You just need good web designers, radio service personnel, and lots and lots of good music. Or, better yet, you could even throw in a live discussion about topics which are related to the nature of your business or your website. What exactly are the system specifications for such a service to be integrated on your site? Read on, gain knowledge, and proceed with your most feasible investment yet for your website!
For internet radio integrated on your site, you would be needing a fast and efficient computer system. This requires an up-to-date processor, large capacity data storage disks, various applications intended for streaming audio maintenance and management, broadband connection, a reliable web hosting service, and a large webspace. Why do you need a large webspace? It's about the music. You need to update your music files while maintaining your old collection. Plus, you need to record live discussions between callers, guests, and various people which would make audio stream discussions more lively thus more interesting. With this, your site is a sure bet for traffic overload, lots of viewers, lots of sponsorial advertisements, and thus, lots of profits for your business!

Digital information technology has become a necessity more than a hobby. Information is now accessible to most people due to its adaptability and cost-effectivity. Now, in a world with technology evolving faster than biological evolution, information browsing, through the internet, has become mobile as well. Due to high-tech mobile devices, internet browsing can be done using such devices anytime of the day, anywhere in the world.
Thus, web designers and developers are now facing a new challenge. This is to design and develop the pages on websites for mobile viewing to be as efficient and effective as conventional browsing. Mobile viewing of websites can be pretty harsh when a page on a certain website does not have the features and functions to make it accessible to mobile browsing. Keep in mind that these devices do not have large monitors, powerful PC processors, large keyboards, nor even mouse cursors, or at least some of such devices. With this, a Flash site is inaccessible to mobile viewing, with the exception, or course, if you're using a handheld PC. But unfortunately, handheld PCs don't come cheap, apart from the fact that most handheld PCs don't have the same, if not even come close to having, features and functionality of desktop and laptop PCs.
In line with this, I suggest creating web pages with access keys. This would assure the viewers of your website, be it mobile viewers or screen reader users, access to view and navigate through your website. Nothing much is required, just your time and basic HTML codes so as to provide your website the functions and features it needs in order to be accessible and usable just in case a mobile viewer comes across your website.

With the power brought about by modern information technology, people now have a platform in which to voice out their ideas in a faster and efficient way. Not only that, but to have an exact match for a specified market for the proliferation of their ideas as well. With your website having a comment box, more so suggestion or discussion boxes, you are assured of more hits and a more informative website as well.
Just like messaging on mobile devices, websites act as a platform for interactions between people. We now have a place to share our ideas, ask the questions which haunt us the most, and discuss matters without leaving the comfort of either our homes or any place we are at home with. Yes, the power of digital multimedia converged with an efficient information and communication system provides an effective outlet of actually practicing freedom of speech.
With this, it would be wise for you as a web designer to develop the pages on your website with a comment box. This would assure the viewers an efficient communication system between themselves and you, the publisher of the web site. They would also have the power to ask the questions regarding a certain topic which matches their interests and your website's nature. Through this, a more organized comment form would be good so as for your viewers to know which comment pertains to which topic, as well as who posted either the question or the comment.

The most visited websites nowadays have all kinds of offers to the internet surfing population, such as discount incentives, chatrooms, e-mail service, etc. But what about their needs for digital entertainment? Not just fast digital communications through those chatrooms and e-mail services, I really mean good digital entertainment! Not that it would just be digital entertainment at its finest, but it should also be free, totally free!
I think an answer to this is what most gaming websites now provide their clients. Yes, you guessed it right, it's all about Flash! Now Flash can very well be used for the creation and development of digital entertainment through either Flash movies, animations, and games on the pages of your website! Now Flash games, this is what I'm talking about. These games can be very entertaining, ranging from highly entertaining to highly addictive, both depending on the user and the game! Now Flash games are unlike recreational substances, 'cause for one thing, they're all legal, and secondly, most of them are absolutely free! So consider embedding on the home page of your website a good Flash game that's totally free, and your website promises to be a hit in no time at all!

If you want your website to be as accessible as it is usable, then I would have to suggest building a search engine on the home page of your website, or any page on your site for that matter. As a newbie web designer, you may think this is a waste of time since a search for a specified keyword on Google would give the exact link on the page on your site which contain the searched keyword. Do just so and you will notice suggestions piling up on your comment archive asking for less frustration and more outputs!
In order for you to do this, you will have to first do what you do least. Yes, and that is to organize the contents of your website either logically or chronologically. By logically, what I mean is by topic or subject, depending on the nature of your website. This would be very helpful in the search engine on your website, for it would provide the viewers of your website more exact matches than an unorganized system of archiving. This is because much like most high-tech electronic equipment nowadays, functionality outweighs looks, and this would be the basis of your website's success.
In creating a search engine on your website, make sure it is simple and therefore easy to use. Advanced search options are a plus, but what most people would prefer would be a search engine, a Go button, and finally, the search matches. That's about how simple most people nowadays want things to be despite the advances of modern technology. This is because most web viewers look at results rather than flowery content!

This has been one among the top web design mistakes since the world wide web was born and is still presently done even to this day! Not changing the colors of visited links adds confusion to the viewer, for almost everyone obviously does not remember the links they have been to. So, a good web designer should always never neglect the fact that confusing page viewers are among the things you should never do as a professional web designer.
This process just requires a web designer to have a grasp on basic HTML coding, and not anywhere near the complexity of intensive JavaScript codes. You should also choose a color among the most popular colors so as to provide options regarding colors and fonts installed on every internet browsing computer, for the variations of installed colors and fonts on computers are as much as what you would get when fishing for muck in the incessant pool of human behavior! So, it would do you and your website best to consider which colors to use in your links, specially the color it would turn out after it has been visited. For I have noticed back then that some websites tend to miss the rudiments of proper color combination, specifically speaking, turning the visited links red on a red colored page background is like trying to hide the link in the very first place, so why bother to change the visited link's color? Thus, with this suggestion on always remembering to check whether the links on the pages of your site changes color every time the links are visited, I do hope this adds a little color to your web designing ventures.

If you're thinking of loading a radio player, complete with navigation controls, on the pages of your website is what I'm here to talk about, you get the hell out of here as fast as you can say " internet radio"! This is about those selection boxes you oftentimes encounter on those web forms, in which you are only given one option to choose from a range of choices. So much for democracy, don't you think?
I usually prefer check boxes over radio buttons 'cause it gives me the freedom to pick as many options as I want, but, unfortunatley, check boxes are not what I'm here for - I'm here for those radio buttons. A cute name for something very limiting, ain't it? But some web designers usually commit mistakes in selecting which options are appropriate for a given question on the web form.
Good web designing is knowing exactly when to use radio buttons, and when to use check boxes. It's this simple: these buttons are employed in questions that require the viewer to put in just a single answer from the choices, such as gender or status, and check boxes are used to provide the viewer in mind the freedom to choose whatever it is that he or she prefers, such as cigarette brand, alcoholic beverage preference, etc. But, usually, standalone check boxes are used for the option of the user to either switch on or switch off a single choice for a given question, which would definitely not apply when these controls are used - there should never be such things as standalone radio buttons, for standalone checkboxes are enough!

The pages on most websites back then were usually dull, with either white, gray, or black backgrounds, apart from the formatting of such pages of these websites, which were usually bombarded with text and no digital image in sight. But with the advent of Flash programming, the website designing trend we knew way back then was revolutionized, giving us a more graphical and interesting web browsing experience. Web designs are now viewed to have three different and equally interestingly purposeful interface styles: ice, gell-O, and yes, liquid.
Liquid interface web designing takes one step ahead of its counterparts, providing seamless navigation with its easy to understand and logically formatted visual design. In present high-tech communication technologies, ease of use, in terms of browsing, and a formidable graphical perspective, on the interface of the pages on websites, provide the page viewer access to content while maintaining a suitable environment to stir up the viewer's interest. Yes, web designers can go beyond the limits set forth by then page loading speeds because of faster and faster internet connections.
With the liquid interface web design style, you provide the viewers of the pages on your website a sense of comfortability and accessibility, making his or her web browsing experience something to look forward to in future browsing ventures. Unlike ice interface designs on webpages, liquid designing can fit any size of any browser window without neglecting important factors such as readability, usability, and, above everything els, quality. This is also true when it comes to comparing the liquid design style with the gell-O style: there is nothing better than a fluid mixture of adaptability, accessibility, usability and readability.

That's right - not only should all websites in cyberspace be accessible, it should all also be usable, not that some aren't usable nor accessible, it's just that most of them aren't both! So for the world wide web to be a better place for everyone in general, you should greatly consider these factors and provide attention to it more than those digital images you're gonna use on your extremely graphical website. For this purpose, I suggest you minimize inaccessible Flash animations on the pages of your website, and as well as follow the tips I have for self-righteous people who don't really want their websites to be accessible, just usable, but are interested on making it both - as a challenge for their web designing skills, that is, and not because of the abstract concept of compassion, but just the image the initiative would give them!
First of all, you should make it a point to provide headings that are descriptive to the point of fertile imagination, and deviate from the compulsion of using fonts edited with a good photo editor, such as Photoshop CS - for such fonts are not available in most computers, you know, thus making the headers unreadable and inaccessible for screen readers to read out. Finally, the most important thing to take into consideration would be creating equally descriptive phrases for the links, images, and downloads. With these website improvements, you make your website accessible as it is usable, thus assure you of frequent visits not only from a specific group of people, but everyone in general.

As an experienced cyberspace wanderer, I believe you may have had your share of pop-ups ranging from the utterly obnoxious to the downright informative and interesting, haven't you? That's right, back when you still didn't know a thing or two about those pop-up blockers, you just closed those browser windows that pops up everytime you visit a website that has embedded advertisements on it. Yes, that's right - these pop-ups are oftentimes helpful, but sometimes, too, they tend to be rather irritating, more so if you encounter a dozen of it in a single page of a website.
Advertising makes the world wide web a better place to surf, and these pop-ups greatly help in the continued development of the internet, so I suggest you keep your options open for those pop-ups you would encounter sometime in the near future. I usually come across pop-ups that give me incentives in case I buy their company's mobile phone, you know, or anything that either they're selling or providing for free - that is, provided that I register on an account or something. But, more than once, I assume, would be the most probable chance you'll have in landing a killer deal transacting with an institution you have encountered on one of your web surfing episodes through the means of pop-ups.
Anyway, I suggest you keep out of those infernal websites, specially the crack sites, 'cause they contain viruses, worms, and other malware that could greatly infect your computer, specially if you don't have anything close that would resemble a secure internet protection system.
These viruses usually come from the pop-up ads the crack sites have once you start downloading either a crack, a serial number, a registration key, etc. These sites require you to disable your pop-up manager or blocker so as to fully navigate through the cracks they have to offer as free downloadable files.

So you want to really personalize your website and do just so by making the background of the home page of your website a digital image of your own face, is that what you want to happen then? No, you don't have to make an appointment with your webspace provider for a photo shoot - you just have to know how it is done using basic HTML codes. As easy as pie, that's what I have to say!
No, I didn't enroll and graduate with flying colors from an advanced web design and development course, no, not at all! I just did a search for suitable reading materials about the task at hand on the world wide web, that infinite pool of information, in case you don't know about it, and ended up with an Ebook on web design and development which I got as a freely downloadable file. I suggest you do the same thing since I don't want to save you hours of frustration, which I went through myself.
No, I'm not gonna get into a spoon-feeding session with you and either your laziness or pride here, you know. I stand on firm ground here - if you have to work for something you need, isn't it logical enough for you to work on something you want? Okay, just a tip then - it's basically the same codes as for those used in image linking, but you just have to figure it out yourself, then.

That's right, you go and use those skills that you have on website designing and make enough profits out of it so as to may be give you the opportunity to buy that dream car of yours that you've been drooling over since time immemorial! I just can't think of a person that either doesn't have his own website, or someone who doesn't crave for one. All you need is to develop your HTML coding language skills, and your off to the bigger and brighter things of life.
No, you don't need to have tons of cash, nor high-tech electronic equipment to start a website designing outfit. You just need a computer, the knowledge on using one, various web development kits of your choice, an internet connection, of course, your own webspace so as to advertise your service, and obviously the skills in designing a website. Put that all together and you have what you need to set up a website designing home business!
In addition, Flash and Javascript programming skills are a big plus to the development of your home business. Because most internet surfers want more graphics out of their web surfing experience, you'd also need to have adequate skills on the visual arts, specifically photo and video editing. You'd also want to have audio editing skills since some businesses cater to the music needs of their clientele.

It may highly be probable for me to assume that you know a lot about websites providing download links on the pages of the site itself, but I bet you have not a slightest idea on how to create a simple download link on one, do you? It not only requires highly complex HTML codes, for, as the name suggests, it's just a simple download link. It merely requires a little of your time, and lots of information on which files can be legally posted on your website as free downloadable files, and which are the ones that ask for you to get distribution rights and permissions from either the developers, authors, or composers of each file.
Be it MP3 files, document files, installer/program files, or image files, it could be made available as free downloads from your website via simple download linking techniques. You must know first the HTML codes for embedding files on the pages of your site, for this is the basic coding sequence, apart from being the only step which involves HTML codes, that you'd need to know in order for you to do such a feat! Next thing to accomplish would be for you to provide the viewer in mind easily understandable instructions either before or right after the download link so as for the whole downloading process to run smoothly as it should.
You would have to instruct the viewer, in text, to right-click on the link which pertains to a downloadable file, then choose the "Save as" option from the pop-up menu. This, of course, would open a dialogue box asking for the necessary steps to take before formally downloading the file from the internet - this is evidently for Windows users. Because simple download linking is just what it is, simple, it should not be hard for you to customize the technique to suit your operating system that you have installed on your PC.

Do you want your website to have an image of yourself with certain parts as links either to other websites or on different pages of your website? Yes, I'm talking about a single image divided into parts which are set up as links to pages either on your website or on the world wide web. Just imagine clicking on the nose of a pig's image, taking you to a page of a website wherein a healthy lifestyle is discussed, or its ears for a page on the same site about sound reasoning.
All you need to have in order to do this is knowledge on image linking using the HTML coding language. In addition, you would need a good photo editor, as well as the sufficient skills on cutting up and resizing images. The HTML codes involved in multipart image linking are the same as basic image linking codes.
So cut up those digital images, and take part in the beautiful and equally interesting world of multipart image linking. This not only assures your website of frequent visits from internet users, but a chance as well for a nomination in one of the categories of most web awards. Just try to keep it as simple as possible, for more complex multipart images are usually inaccessible to most screen reading applications.

I think that more than ever, web site designing has reached its peak this past 2 years. The reason may not only be due to the proliferation of good web sites around, but because today's web designers know more about the latest tool, technologies and techniques. Some of the very noticeable differences lie in the websites simplicity, the conservative use of 3D graphics, the use of soft or neutral background colors, attractive texts and icons and the use of a lot of white space. Although there are a lot more, these features make for a good looking website that's just pleasing to the eyes.
Simple websites work best today because their layouts are very straightforward; no beating around the bush. These websites are soothing and calming to look at instead of cluttered ones. Good websites also make little use of 3D icons or graphics. Don't you just love the soft feeling of subtle-looking websites?
Avoid using intense colors as backgrounds, instead, use soft colors that are neutral and becalms the eyes. In addition, text will stand out better. And please choose the text which needs to be highlighted the most and make them bigger than the normal texts. Lastly, use a lot of white spaces. It gives a refreshing and clean view of your website. Now that I've briefed you about the current website trends, you're all set to do your own.

We all want our websites to look as good as those designed by professional web developers. But can't we make it sound as good as well as it looks? I've done some serious research on the topic, and have come up with something that would save your money, your time, and your sanity.
Attaching audio files on the web pages of your website need not be a frustrating experience for you. Neither should it be expensive and time consuming. It just requires a piece of code using the HTML development language that even I could do with my eyes closed, and here it is:
< - start of sample code - >
<embed src="youraudiofilehere.mid" border="0" width="0" height="0" autostart="true" loop="true">
< - end of sample - >
This piece of code can be placed anywhere on the web document between the <body> and the </body> tags, or wherever within the body of the web pages on your website you would like it to appear as either a download link, a play and stop toggle link, or a visible player. The latter option is there because you can as well make the audio file automatically play as soon as the web page loads without a stop button, or you could even make the audio file play continuously without the page viewer being able to put a stop to the commotion unless completely deviating from the website. Both .mid and .wav files can be attached on web documents, but .wav files take more time and memory to load, so it is advisable to first convert .wav files into the .mid format. Setting the border, height and width components to 0 means there would be no visible player on the web page, and setting the autostart and loop components to true of course would be literally what it means. For more questions or information on this topic, consult your favorite web designer or ask for assistance from the government if you want.

So you want to know how those web buffs get to place digital images as links on the websites you have encountered. No, it's not rocket science, nor anything that is even remotely close to Calculus. Those are just special HTML codes, or tags, and yes, each has its own function.
Before continuing, you should know first that, in creating HTML documents, there are certain codes for each function. The fundamental codes are called tags, and the basic tags for linking, which is the same as image linking, is:
< - sample code - >
<a href="http://www.thewebsiteyouwantthislinktotakeyou.com">
your image, or text, here
</a>
< - End of sample - >
For placing an image file between the opening and closing linking tags, use this code (place this code also in between the tags <a href...> and </a>):
img src="theimageyouwantasalink.jpg" border=0
No, this piece of unintelligible gibberish is not the theory of everything, and do try to keep in mind that all "s are included in the codes, and that border numbers can be changed from 0 to 7, whatever it is that you prefer. It would be wise if you attach the image files with the most minimal file size so as for your website to load properly. One way to do this is to convert all other file types aside from the .jpg format to the .jpg format itself using a good photo editor, but if you know a way that I don't, do let me know.

Web pages often contain forms. These are used to acquire the information needed by the website owners or publishers from site visitors regarding either their services or products. Creating and designing web forms require knowledge on HTML encoding - both basic HTML development codes and form-specific HTML codes.
Forms are necessary for the exchange of data between website owners, online publishers, and users. This process provides both parties certain benefits regarding each's needs for various services, products, or even plain information. It allows the website publishers to monitor and, at the same time, know exactly the necessary improvements and additional services to be done for their clients. On the other hand, clients get exactly what they need and demand from the owners of business and service-related websites, as well as various online companies.
So, provided below is a basic example of a simple web form. It requires data entries such as name, email address, certain options to choose from, and comments regarding either the services or products of the website publisher. This sample web form contains both basic and form-specific codes, thus it would be fairly easy for you to grasp the mechanics of creating web forms. Start creating those web forms you want in no time at all.

Virtual world seems to awaken our inner childs no matter our age or stature in life. One portfolio site that has done a great job in animation works is RY-Guy.com. The main interface is a typical big city in America.
It is interactive and the details are designed smoothly, it also contains entertainment value. Although some think that it is not as innovative as the creators lead their viewers to believe nonetheless, a lot of people agree that the design is superb and cosider it a "rare gem."

Web design layouts always need tweaking and editing. Everyday millions of users browse through web sites and so, web sites should always be updated and precise. But sometimes web designers cannot avoid the smallest mistakes in the web design features, these details are all important to make the web site attractive and interesting.
Some bad design features can be seen on the text details of the layout. There are texts that are too small. Other texts are too inclined to either the left side or the right side of your your computer monitor. And also, some web designers tend to make the texts in all capitalized letters which make the texts appear too loud. Lastly, there are underlined texts that are not links so it makes the layout confusing.
