One of the many overloads in a web page are the images, photos, and animations. These images really lessen the speed of the web page loading or opening.

Although putting up or posting images on your web page would really beautify and enhance your page, it also lessens a great deal of the user's time to browse your web page, hence, it would affect the speed and count of your search engine. In short, your web page would have less users browsing it. You don't have to make your web page monotonous, just reduce the size of your images, and it's best that you select images that are GIFs and JPEGs.
